What we have been learning about this week .....
Nursery:
Welcome back, I hope you've all had a lovely Easter break. We have started the week by revisiting the Holy Week and then celebrated with the story of Easter. The children have been engaged with lots of Easter activities to celebrate Easter. In Maths, we have been talking about positional language e.g. on, under, in front, behind, next to, beside, inside and outside. This was reinforced when listening to the story 'We're going on an Egg Hunt' using positional language to describe where the eggs are hiding.
Reception:
This week, we have been learning all about Spring. We explored the different signs of Spring and even tried to look out for these during the week. Throughout school, we have been celebrating Easter and talking about new life, as well as Jesus' resurrection. It was interesting to find out about Jesus rising and not being in the tomb anymore. We continue our learning on Easter for the next few weeks. In Maths, we have been consolidating number bonds, as well as finding 1 more and 1 less. We have been working very hard on this! Next week, we begin our new topic of 'On the Farm.'
