This week we have welcomed back Year 2 pupils and we are looking forward to welcoming Year 5 next week - it is lovely to know that we are getting to see some of the children again and helping them to adjust to being back in school.
For those children who have returned so far, from our perspective, it has been very successful and the children have really enjoyed being here too. All children, in every group, are being taught in line with age-related expectations and are still being challenged to achieve. We are trying to keep things as fun for the children as we can, whilst helping them to ensure that they maintain social distance.
I am very grateful for the continued support from our parents, carers, pupils and staff - and also for your understanding about the complexities we are facing as a school in co-ordinating attendance, whilst trying to develop more remote ways of working.
When the children return to school in September, it will be in full school uniform. As many of our pupils will have outgrown their uniforms over the last few months and, following suggestions from parents, we have decided to set up a uniform recycling point at school. If you have any outgrown uniform which you would like to donate, please drop it at the recycling point, outside the school office, on Thursdays and Fridays. Recycled uniform will also be available for collection at this point, which will hopefully save our families a considerable amount of money.
With very best wishes to you and your families.
