    PE curriculum overview

Our curriculum aims to offer ‘Excellence for all, through Jesus’ love.’

With Jesus at the heart, we intend to provide:

    1. Excellence for all children.
    2. Excellence for all staff.
    3. Excellent spaces and opportunities to learn.

‘A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.’

    National Curriculum: PE
Our PE curriculum is planned from and supported by Get Set 4 PE and covers a wide range of different sports for the children to learn. This allows them to develop their skills in a variety of disciplines. Additionally, children are provided with opportunities to be chosen to take part in sporting competitions and represent the school. Sports Coaching Group set up a swimming pool onsite for children in Years 2-6 to take part in swimming lessons.
